Art Classes 2024-2025
Our young artists will mostly create in watercolor and acrylic on wood and various papers and canvas, plus collages in each session while learning about art. Classes are fun and without pressure.
We create incredible projects at Action Arts, allowing kids to draw their vision, not ours. We guide them and have a weekly theme and project, but they have complete freedom to create.
Furthermore, we teach all the principles of art. Our students learn all about the color wheel/color theory: primary, Secondary, Complimentary, Warm/Cool colors, and Tints and Shades. We love color at Action Arts. They will learn how to mix colors while experiencing the wonderful world of color. Sometimes we add textures to experiment with. It is an exciting way to learn. We never want to discourage any student and stop their love of art.
We can now go outside at the end of each class to see the natural colors in nature. They love this! Classes run 75 minutes. In each session, they will learn about various artists. We will create in one of their styles. Example: Monet's Lily Pond Bridge. We do art from other cultures and create our version in that style. Example: Aboriginal Art from Australia.
A big hit with the kids is collage. We create at least one collage in each session. Sessions are 4 weeks, but we can prorate if needed to start late.
